In a study on older women and weight training, researchers found that participants experienced more pleasure and fewer feelings of effort during weight training when resistance was at a moderate level. Study subjects were ages 62–70. The findings are set forth in Aging Clinical and Experimental Research (2022; doi:10.1007/s40520-021-02062-z).
